Lucky for everyone in the LV, this week's got stuff for the outdoorsy types (star gazing and bird watching), natural beauty junkies (make your own coffee scrub!), those looking for a little movement and balance (loads of yoga and meditation, even some CrossFit), crafty types looking to develop new skills (hammered jewelry making), and anyone who needs a dose of fun (corn hole tournament, anyone?).
There's something about being enveloped by comforting, warm air that makes me just want to RELAX. And that's what I love about this week's events—they encourage you to slow down and focus on whatever you feel like, be it crafting or emotional health or petting some adoptable dogs. 'Tis the season for taking it easy, my friends!
The promise of spring brings warmer weather, greener scenery, and two major events this week: the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo! See what the Valley has to offer in the way of events to unlock your creativity, give you the excuse for donning a fabulous hat, and taste test some mint juleps in the meantime.
I think we've been MORE than patient in waiting for Spring's arrival. While we wait just a little longer...here are some super fun ways to get your hands dirty, learn a thing or two, and sip on something special.
Happy April, friends! This warm-ish weather has us extra motivated to get out and try new things. That’s why we’re pumped about this week’s lineup that’s packed with events to help you get moving (Hula hooping!) and get creative (LV Art Wars!)—along with a couple to help you just have some fun (Pajama bar crawl, anyone?).
If John Lennon was right when he said A dream you dream together is reality, then can we all get together and just dream of spring already?! This week's events should help get you in the spirit. Here's hoping the weather follows our lead...
How are we all feeling with our 1-hour sleep deficit courtesy of Daylight Savings? Yeah, same here. Lucky for you, this week has plenty of fun ways to put some extra pep in your step and get you out of that groggy funk, including a free St. Patrick’s Day workout and a 5K. And if it’s professional or creative inspiration you’re lacking, we’ve got you covered there, too, with career fair and even a podcast workshop hosted by PBS.
I can't believe we're already talking about MARCH events! This is the time of year I'm usually at my worst—emotionally, physically, and nutritionally. Just being honest here, guys. But with my wedding on the horizon, I'm determined to tap into the following resources and find some much needed BALANCE.
If binging on all that newly discounted Valentine's Day chocolate has you feeling a little meh and unmotivated, let us liven up your week. On the menu: jewelry making for beginners, anxiety-reducing yoga, killer relationship advice from awesome people who aren't your parents, and the opening of a new community wellness space that you definitely want to know about.
Hoo boy, how about that episode of This Is Us? Oh...and the Superbowl 😂 We kid we kid! All three LWLV gals partied it up (aka, ate a lot of cheese) at Siobhan's annual Superbowl Party, and now we're ready to recommit to all the healthy choices we've been making this year. Check out these super fun ways you can join us!
This week’s got tacos, wellness talks, game nights, pottery, and yoga amidst the mystical glow of Himalayan salt lamps. Seriously, how cool is the Lehigh Valley? Get your calendars out and mark this awesome shit down.
Yoga, meditation, anxiety workshops—oh my! If this week doesn't help you destress, detoxify, and get on with a blissful 2018, I don't know what will. Take advantage of the many ways to learn something NEW this week—including treating yourself a new restaurant during one of the four (!) restaurant weeks. Enjoy!
Oh 2017—you were a strange, strange beast. No matter how you feel about the year we've had, one thing remains true for all of us: it was a fantastic year to live in the Lehigh Valley. We hope these event roundups helped you fall in love with the LV over and over each week. Find more fun with the final events roundup of the year! Happy New Year to all!
We know, we know: It’s the week before Christmas and you’re probably crazy busy buying last minute gifts, wrapping them, and trying not to freak out about how you have no idea what to get your boyfriend’s dad. (Or is that just me?? Also, suggestions welcome.) But if you do happen to find yourself with some downtime, we highly recommend spending it doing one of the following kick-ass Lehigh Valley activities.
The holiday season is HERE and boy, am I already feeling it! Downtown Bethlehem is bustling, the Lehigh Valley Mall is a zoo, and my Amazon cart is growing by the minute. Looking forward to checking out a few of these festive events that promise to keep us all calm and collected this holiday. Plus, who doesn't love a good tree lighting?
It finally feels like fall in the Lehigh Valley, and that calls for good food, proper Fests, and warm comfort. This week is bringing you all of that, plus three (!) race opportunities on Sunday. We're totally going to need at least one of those after all this Halloween candy! Cheers to another week full of ways to live well.
