12 Ways to Live Your Best Life This Weekend (6/7-6/10)

Hey Live Wellers! We've got a new format for these weekly events roundups: each Wednesday, we'll be bringing you your guide to a healthy, happy weekend. And this week is the perfect week to begin, because WOW is there a lot going on this weekend! Summer solstice isn't for a few weeks, but it feels like the season of summer fun is in full swing in the Lehigh Valley. Check out all the ways to live it up this weekend:

Beer Choir at Weyerbacher (7pm - 9pm / $5 donation)
Well, this combines two of my favorite pasttimes—music and drinking! The Concord Chamber Singers invite you to learn a few songs (in a no-pressure environment), drink some of the region’s best beer, and perform for anyone who will listen. No choir experience required!

The Beauty of Detoxing (6pm - 7pm / Free)
This is a topic I’m SUPER passionate about. Dixie Lincoln-Nichols will examine what a detox is, how the body naturally detoxifies, how you can support the natural detoxification process and some of the toxins and toxicants that contribute to the body's toxic state.

Barre Above Pop-Up Class (6pm - 7pm / Free)
Still haven’t tried a barre class? Here’s another free way to give it a shot! Click here to get tickets for this Barre Above Pop-Up class, held at Steel Fitness Riverport. Open to members and non-members!

Strawberry Fest (through June 10)
Strawberry shortcakes, strawberry milkshakes, even pick your OWN strawberries?! Don’t miss one of the sweetest weekends of the summer!

Yoga Rocks Karaoke at Easton Yoga (6:30pm - 7:45pm)
Our girl Kate is at it again with her karaoke yoga class! Head on over to the Facebook event to help create the most epic yoga class playlist around.

Pennsylvania Dutch Day at Eight Oaks (12pm - 8pm / Free)
Never forget where you came from! This family-friendly event will feature PA Dutch speaking lessons, traditional apple sausage demo, Hickory Nut cake sold by the slice, tractors displayed, free horse and carriage rides and—of course—Eight Oaks drink specials.

Blues, Brews & Barbecue (12pm - 10pm / Free)
This annual event is back and better than ever this year! Samantha Fish headlines this perfect blend of music and munchies—more like the best collection of BBQ all in one place! Come hungry :) Get your tickets here!

Fergus McCarthy’s Birthday at Red Stag (11am - 6pm / Free)
At McCarthy’s, celebrations aren’t only reserved for humans! Stop by closed-off Walnut Street on Saturday to celebrate their pup Fergus’s birthday with food, discounts, and their new beer by Hijinx Brewing Company, Fergus McCarthy's Red Stag Red Ale!

Sip & Slide Cocktail Crawl (1pm - 5pm)
How cute is this description: “Saunter down to SouthSide for a summery celebration where mojitos flow free, coladas don’t have calories, and where you just might catch a tequila sunrise.” Buy a passport to taste up to 10 summery crafted drinks from local bars and merchants. Proceeds go to the downtown revitalization project!

Yoga in the Vineyard at Franklin Hill (10am - 12pm / $25)
Is there a better way to spend a Sunday? After an hour of rejuvenating poses, head back to the winery for a buffet style brunch and mimosas.

Food Truck Border Brawl at SteelStacks (12pm - 8pm / ticket prices vary)
Think you’ve got the know-how to decide the best food truck? Put your french fries where your mouth is and have yourself a feast of food truck offerings, all to support ArtsQuest’s free music and arts programming. Tickets here!

Bookstore Brunch! (10am - 3pm / meal prices vary)
Did you guys know this was a thing? I didn’t! Try out The Bookstore during the daylight (gasp!) for their monthly brunch, featuring live jazz, classic cocktails, and—duh—brunch!!
