11 Ways to Test Your Fall Fun Threshold This Weekend (10/5-10/7)

Short of rolling around in a pile of cinnamon and nutmeg, I don’t know how the Lehigh Valley can get more fall than this. And you know what—I LOVE IT. I love that most of these events are free and encourage members of this community to clink a glass, a yoga mat, or even an arcade game token (seriously!) to a fun, carefree weekend. Happy fall, ya’ll!

Fall Ghost Tours (various dates | 6pm, $13 for adults)

Pro tip: if it’s old, it’s probably haunted. And Bethlehem is both of those things. Moravian Book Shop and Historic Haunts gives you a tour of downtown Bethlehem’s spookiest spots.

Pop Up Arcade Bar at Separatist Beer Co (11am-8pm | freeplay + drinks)

My dreams of a barcade (that’s bar + arcade) coming to the Lehigh Valley are coming true! Well, for this weekend, anyway! If you’ve never been to something like this -- GO. This ain’t no Dave n’ Busters BS. FREE PLAY ON THE GAMES, PEOPLE.

Garlic Fest in Easton (all weekend | free admission)
Leave the mints at home—everyone has garlic breath at Garlic Fest! New this year: a garlic bites and cocktail pairing, The Big Cheese Wheel tasting, and hands-on culinary experiences.

Fit Fest Open House at Steel Fitness (8am-5pm | free!)

Ever wondered if belonging to a fancy schmancy gym is worth it? Now’s your chance. Take advantage of one-day-only sign-up packages, too!

Harvest Festival (11am-8pm | free, except food trails)

Ever wondered what it would be like if the whole world smelled like delicious warm soup? Well, this is kind of what happens in Downtown Bethlehem during Harvest Fest. Enjoy food and craft vendors, live music, the Biergarten, and soup, wine, and beer tastings trails.

Oktoberfest at Union & Finch (10am-12am)

So you can’t just fly to Germany for the weekend? Here’s the next best thing. You can expect specialty foods, mug holding contest, lederhosen and live music!

Fall Workshop: Pumpkins Decorated with Succulents (9am-10am | $18)

So THIS is how I can take my summer succulent obsession into fall. Pumpkins, succulents, and moss are provided—just bring a hot glue gun and glue sticks.

Pioneer Apple Festival in New Tripoli (10am-5pm | free)

Well this is adorable! It’s a family-fun day filled with hayrides, Native American demonstrations, tractor and car displays, dog agility, apple activities, food, live music, and more

3rd Annual Fall Festival at Folino Estate (11am-4pm | free)

Two words: Apple Zeppoli. If you haven’t been to Folino yet, this is a perfect excuse!

Salt Lamp Restorative Yoga (8pm-8:45pm | $20)

The event says: “Get ready to take on the week ahead and be the very best, most productive you that you can be!” I’ve never wanted anything more!
