9 Festive AF Things You Should Do This Week In The Lehigh Valley (12/18 - 12/24)

By Stephanie Eckelkamp

We know, we know: It’s the week before Christmas and you’re probably crazy busy buying last minute gifts, wrapping them, and trying not to freak out about how you have no idea what to get your boyfriend’s dad. (Or is that just me?? Also, suggestions welcome.) But if you do happen to find yourself with some downtime, we highly recommend spending it doing one of the following kick-ass Lehigh Valley activities.

In-House Pet Chiropractic Services at The Dining Dog (3-6pm/ $45)
Does your pup have chronic hip or back pain issues? Then this is the spot for you. Every Monday, The Dining Dog & Friends pairs up with All Points Equine LLC to bring chiropractic services out of the vet's office. While you're there, be sure to check out their great selection of food, treats, and specialty items! More info here

Yoga Tuesdays with Easton Yoga at Allentown Art Museum (12:30-1:20pm/ $10)
We found the perfect way to spend your lunch break if you work in Allentown! Relax, recharge, and find some afternoon Zen with the Easton Yoga teachers in the galleries at the Allentown Art Museum. Kiddos are welcome, too! Register here.

Healthy Living Wednesday at Easton Public Market (2-3pm/ Free)
Every third Wednesday of the month, Easton Public Market helps you eat a little healthier with a workshop conducted by local nutritionists. This week Alison Unger, Carissa Hrichak, and Amy Romberger offer up tips for eating healthy during the holidays and teach you how to make a healthy holiday treat: Chocolate Coconut Macaroons! Christmas Week Movie Night at Union and Finch: Elf! (6:30pm/ Free)
Yass! Everybody’s favorite modern Christmas movie, Elf, will be projected on the big screen at Union and Finch. Bonus: Half price wings and discounts on beer pitchers. What could be better? More info here.

It’s a Wonderful Life at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas (12:30pm/ $10)
Less into Elf and more into the classic Christmas movies? Then there’s nothing better than cozying up with someone you love and watching It’s a Wonderful Life, which is showing three afternoons (12/21, 12/22, and 12/23) this week at the Steel Stacks’ Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas. Buy tickets here

Karaoke Night at Stoke Coal Fire Pizza (9pm-1am/ Free)
Admit it, you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to belt out "All I Want For Christmas" in a relatively judgement-free zone with pizza and booze nearby. Or is that just us? Regardless, singing and laughing have both been found to reduce stress, so even if you’re no Adele, you can justify your inability to carry a tune by saying you’re doing this for your health. More info here

Ugly Sweater Party at Weyerbacher (12pm-8pm/ Free)
Bring out your ugly holiday sweaters! The Tap Room at Weyerbacher is hosting their 1st Annual Ugly Sweater Party from 12 pm - 8 pm with an Ugly Sweater Competition at 5 pm. Bonus: Bring in a toy donation for their Toys for Tots drive and receive a free 12 oz Tier 1 beer for free! More info here

Holiday Costume Party at Triple Sun (2pm-11pm/ Free)
Hit up Triple Sun Spirits for a holiday costume party with live music provided by Rob Ballonoff and some amazing food by the Trè locally sourced food truck. Wear your cutest, brightest, tackiest or most festive attire for a chance to win Triple Sun merchandise, gift cards, and 4 tickets to an upcoming Lehigh Valley Phantoms game. More info here
