15 Things You Should Do This Week In The Lehigh Valley (10/2 - 10/8)

Did you dive into fall last weekend by checking out Jack-O-Lantern lane, picking pumpkins at one of the Valley's farms, or tasting some of the fall sangria at Sleepy Cat? Well, this week brings even more fun fall activities to try! Here are some highlights:


First Monday at 99 Bottles (5pm – 7pm/ Free)

Celebrate the First Monday of October in downtown Allentown at 99 Bottles' special happy hour event. Network with Lehigh Valley professionals and enjoy local drinks and food! RSVP and more info here.

I Pink I Can with Lehigh Valley Health Network (5pm – 7pm/ Free)

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lehigh Valley Health Network is holding their free program covering topics in women's health with resource stations on breast health, cancer services, and many more. For those who can't make it to the Cedar Crest location, the program will be simulcast to other locations around the Valley. Sign up here.


Core Life and Emmaus Run Inn Group Run (6pm - 8pm/ Free)

Yoga Tuesdays with Easton Yoga (12:30pm – 1:20pm/ Cost varies; check site for more info)

Come relax, recharge, and find some afternoon Zen with the Easton Yoga teachers in the galleries at the Allentown Art Museum each Tuesday through December 19. Bakery Class at McCarthy's Red Stag Pub (6:30pm – 8pm/ Cost: $20)

Every first Wednesday of the month until the end of the year, the traditional Irish bakers at McCarthy's will walk you through a delicious recipe. Farm Incubator Tour at The Seed Farm (3pm – 5pm/ Free)

Are you an up-and-coming farmer/gardener looking to explore more agricultural opportunities? Get a tour of the Seed Farm in Emmaus and see if sustainable farming is in your future. Meet the Therapy Dogs at Easton Public Library (7pm – 8:30pm/ Free)

Have you been wondering about whether your pup has what it takes to be a therapy dog? Or perhaps you're just interested in how animal assistance benefits others (or could benefit you)—or maybe you just want to pet some super friendly dog friends! Either way, come meet the dogs of the Lehigh Valley K-9 Therapy Group and get some daily fluff therapy! More info here.

Free Will Beer Dinner at Wegmans Allentown (6:30pm – 8:30pm/ Cost: $40)

If you've been wanting to check out the brews this Perkasie brewery has to offer (their Kragle IPA is one of our faves), you'll just have to make the trip to west Allentown for this chance! Paired with the delicious food at Wegmans, Free Will is featuring some of their favorite flagships and even a new beer for those attending. Raise Your Spirits Painting Party (6:30pm - 9pm/ Cost: $10)

Hip Hop Open Mic at Coffee House Without Limits (7pm – 9pm/ Free)

Have you wanted to debut your material but haven't found the right venue? Let Coffee House be your perfect spot. Come listen to some local talent, share a rhyme or two, and enjoy some freshly brewed java. (Also, DON'T miss their cat-themed poetry night coming up on 10/13!). 

Fall Art Show in Emmaus (6pm – 10pm/ Free)

Triple Sun Spirits in Emmaus has teamed up with King Koffee and Yergey Brewing to showcase works from some of the Lehigh Valley's best local artists. Put your art on the wall or come grab a cocktail or a beer and find that perfect piece for right above your couch or mantel. Friday is the kickoff meet and greet and art will be displayed throughout the winter season. More info here.


Fall Yoga on the Farm (10am - 1pm/ Free)

Let the Rodale Institute's gorgeous 333 acres help you find your center with this 1-hour yoga sessionfollowed by a stroll around the farm and meditation to get you ready to start fall with a clear mind. Attendance is limited, so be sure to register and get more info here.

Bethlehem Harvest Festival (11am - 8pm/ Free)

If you're still missing the bustle of Musikfest and Celtic Classic, have no fear! Downtown Bethlehem has you covered for the fall with their Harvest Festival along Main Street. Vendors, family events (petting zoo and pumpkin painting for kids), and live music are free (food is available, too), but if you want to get in on the specific soup, wine, or beer tastings, you'll need a passport which you can grab in advance here


Yoga Under the Sphere (12pm - 1:15pm/ Cost: $15)

Running three more times before the end of 2017 (Oct 8, Nov 12, and Dec 10), this all-levels yoga class takes place under the amazing sphere inside the Nuture Nature Center in downtown Easton. Come bask in the glow of the Earth while you work on your Downward-Facing Dog. More info here.

Arts, Crafts, and Drafts at Weyerbacher (12:30pm/ Cost: $30)

Arts, Crafts & Drafts is a unique art experience looking to tap into your creative side. Instructors will encourage participants to push their boundaries, unleashing the artist brewing inside them.
